Nothing to Wear

How many times have you walked into your closet and said, “I don’t have anything to wear”. If your closet looks anything like mine and others that I’ve seen, there’s barely any room to accommodate what has already been jammed into what once seemed like a pretty decent amount of space. If your closet walls could speak, would they say you have too much to wear? 🤔 Would some of your garments say, “pick me, pick me, pick me” because they’ve been neglected, forgotten about and haven’t seen the light of day in so long?

I’m challenging myself to use what I have (at least for a period of time 😊). I’m shopping my closet. Will you join me?

Rules of Engagement:

  1. Plan Ahead - Think through where you plan to go and you give yourself time to look at what you already own. When we have a little more time, we can and put together an ensemble that represents us well.

  2. Be Creative - Repurposed things. Wear a necklace as a belt or a belt as a necklace. Break up sets and mix and match them with other items in your closet. Belt blazers to give a different look. Use Pinterest for some style inspo. I have a few boards saved for myself. Check them out via the following link: https://www.pinterest.com/gabydelisme/_saved/.

  3. Love on Yourself - When we feel good, we tend to want to look good. The opposite holds true as well. When we look good, it helps us feel good. Look your best for yourself. If you have an off day, which we all do, let yourself off of the hook and commit to going extra for yourself the next time you get dressed.
